A robust and rigid construction has been incorporated into the assembly and design of the NYBF series brakes. The noise level is below 70 dB. High braking torque is provided for motors of various types and frame sizes. The ventilated (cooled) brake design facilitates effective dissipation of the heat generated during braking, thereby minimizing the temperature rise of the brake lining/pad. The electromagnetic winding is wound on a coil former manufactured from heat-resistant material and protected with polyester (coil insulation class: H). All mechanical parts are electrolytically coated to provide corrosion protection. The brake lining discs are manufactured from 1050-grade carbon steel across all models. Long-life, high-friction, asbestos-free linings are used. The brake coil housings are produced from GGG42 ductile cast iron to minimize hysteresis losses. The brakes are designed to be compatible with various motor types by changing the intermediate coupling flange.

The electromagnetic winding is wound on a coil mold made of heat-resistant material and protected with polyester. (Coil insulation class H0). All mechanical parts are electrolyzed for protection against corrosion.
Brake friction discs are made of 1050 quality manufacturing steel in all our models. Long-lasting, high-friction coefficient asbestos-free pads are used in the brakes. The brake coil casings are made of GGG42 spheroidal cast iron, minimizing hysteresis losses. The brakes are designed to be used in all types of motors by changing the intermediate connection flange. The brakes can operate in any position. All mechanical parts are machined on CNC machines. All brakes are designed to be compatible with microswitch, proxy switch, and encoder mounting. Brakes are produced as 24 VDC and 98 VDC as standard, outside of special requests.
A silent operating environment has been created in our brakes (O-Ring is used).
NABF Series Current-Applied Brakes are generally used in applications that require very frequent start-stop cycles and need to stop with precision.
When power (24 VDC) is applied to the brake coil, the magnetic field created on the surface of the brake coil casing (No:2) pulls the friction flange (No:4) towards it, performing the braking action, and this continues as long as power is applied. When the power is cut, the friction flange (No:4) separates from the coil casing surface by means of the spring (No:5) located underneath, and the braking is terminated. NABF Series Current-Applied Brakes are systems with very frequent switching (Example: They have the capacity to perform 40 to 100 on-off cycles per minute).
They have the opposite operating principle of the spring-applied NYBF and NYBF (MK) Series brakes.
NABF Series Brakes are produced as 24 VDC.
